2016 TIME MAP Charity Volleyball Tournament
Date: 11th September 2016
Location: UQ Beach Volleyball Courts
So it looks like none of our burgeoning sporting talents have taken us through to the Olympics and instead we're here at med school, kidding ourselves that we know what a leg is. Fortunately, the TIME Medical Aid Project have organised the perfect platform to catapult you into the elite sporting arena: a friendly charity volleyball tournament.
To some it's a frantic flurry of steps, sets and spikes, to others it's just a more intense version of "don't let the balloon touch the floor", regardless, beach volleyball's a heap of fun and all funds raised are going to providing vital medical supplies for people in needy communities overseas.
- Team size: Up to a max of 8
- Team fee: $80
- Rules: Max 6 people per team on the court at all times
It's the day after midsems so come down to rejoice, relax and recover from Keg 3 festivities. In the words of Pierre de Coubertin, "the most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part", so get some mates together and get keen for a good Sunday for a good cause.
Deadline for registration is September 1st, 2016.
