Location: Room 213, Building 32 (Gordon Greenwood Building)
Days for Girls is an organisation whose mission is to create a more dignified, free and educated world through access to lasting feminine hygiene solutions. They help girls in disadvantaged communities gain access to quality sustainable feminine hygiene and awareness by direct distribution of sustainable feminine hygiene kits.
These kits allow for increased school attendance, which leads to better education, increased income & improved healthcare outcomes with flow-on effects throughout generations.
What's in a kit?
- 1 drawstring bag
- 2 moisture barrier shields
- 1 travel-sized soap
- 2x 1 gallon-size ziplock freezer bags
- 8 absorbent tri-fold pads
- 2 pairs of underwear
- 1 washcloth
- 1 instruction sheet
Of all these items, the underwear is the most expensive component! We will be collecting underwear during our Underwear Drive from Monday, 14th March to Friday, 25th March!
