TIME x rfds partnership
In 2019, the Royal Flying Doctor Service and TIME signed a Memorandum of Understanding to support long-term rural and regional career pathways by helping students gain invaluable experience through on the job clinical placements and world class training.
As part of this partnership, the RFDS will be providing TIME with two clinical placements for students. These placements include the opportunity for students to attend the Flying Doctor’s internationally recognised Specialised Training in Aeromedical Retrieval (STAR) program.
This placement includes two weeks at the Royal Flying Doctor Service Charleville Base, as well as pre-departure training with clinicians in the Specialised Training in Aeromedical Retrieval (STAR) Course. TIME will provide a $500 scholarship for successful applicants. Preference will be given to final year students.
Applicants need to be a TIME member in order to be eligible.
Placement dates will be:
Medical student: 25th November - 8th December 2019
Nursing student: 9th December - 22nd December 2019
Applications are now closed.
